Post Chuckanut Drive
So a few of us were just talking about this but I wanted to see if anyone else would be interested in driving Chuckanut up in the Bellingham area.

Its a really fun road if any of you don't know it and it has some great spots for pictures. On a nice sunny day it would be really nice :)

Anyone interested?

I'm in if I'm free. I grew up in Bellingham so always looking for excuses to take a trip up there. Gotta keep it under the limit on the 'nut though for safety sake and state troopers waiting for idiots.

Yeah I haven't gotten that far yet. Just checking out if there are people who would want to go you know?

Once we get people we could start talking about days.

Agreed. I refuse to put up with anyone who thinks they're going to drive all rally style out there.

I'll go. Going to WWU for school so I should familiarize myself with the area, right? (Excuses, haha)

Right, I think most of us either don't drive it often enough or at all to be driving too fast. So I think we'll all be pretty safe :)

the sheriff likes to post up at 3 main spots that i remember, one is up north at Colony road, he parks on the west side of the road in a farm turnout and can see a long ways down Chuckanut, one other is off of allen west rd, and the other is a bad one, about 1.5 miles south of larrabee park theres a turnout that he can catch ya if your flyin though the bends. the state patol dont realy set up on that road but about every 2 hours there is a SUV that runs it, and smokey1 has been working down south. Dont ask me why i know all this but i will keep an ear out on the scanner for ya lol

Umm if you do up durning the day, twilight and past there is rarely cops. Basically take a pratice run on the up hill and again on the down hill. I used to drive that road almost every other weekend and now its my new brake pad testing grounds. If your looking into buying a set of Stoptech or Centric pads I've had my fair share of them, lol.

Well yeh but I think orientation is at like 8am so I'd have to leave my house around 6:30-ish and no one really wants to go for a drive then. Plus, I'll have my parents in the car so it'd be a bit weird, haha
