BWAHAHA! Me too. Chrome, you are awesome!

And yeah...I like the older models because most of the newer ones look all the same or waaaaay younger than expected.

So I got the soundsystem installed by Les at VTR, equalized, THX module installed and tuned by Resolution to the musical joy that is Jimi Hendrix's Mannish Boy. I have my wheels paid off. Winter hibernation has begun early and just realized that I can actually pay off my car early.

Holy shnikes...

I'm not following the logic here: Doesn't all that muffle the love of your boxer rumble?

Let's consider this for a moment: The acoustics of the boxer engine is sweet to my ear for all of 30 minutes. At full-tilt, it's good for 90 minutes. I can't deny that a catless, resonator-less flat-4 Subaru engine is incredibly sexy. But it's a daily driver at the end of the day and that just won't do for me day after day after day. My ears have sensitivities that lean more towards the Aston Martin V8 and a Ferrari V12, which, if anyone has any common sense, you do not drive day-in and day-out. It's a sweet treat much like me coming to the Monday meets and listening to Katie letting the Werewolves of Thunder out of her Rumble Wagon.

I've been planning my stereo for the past two years. It's still not perfect as there are imperfections in some minor (and I really mean this because I am just being a nitpicking bitch) pitches and db Polks are getting on in recent years but suffice to say I am happy. More importantly I am happy that it all worked out accordingly and that I didn't need to add any deadening (one of my biggest peeves in the world of sound) in order to not be "that guy" listening to my tunes down the street.
