My new Bayson R front lip showed up today, the new batch is SO much nicer than the last. I think it's a completely different material, the mounting tabs look way more solid, and it barely needs any sanding/finishing work. The hood vent showed up yesterday, too bad I still have so far to go before installing these...

Nice. I love getting new parts. Maybe this lip will last a little longer for you, lol

I demand an update with pictures. I especially am curious to see what you think of Josh's tune compared to your old one.

Well, I'm happy with the process. Josh is a nice guy and his tuning process seems to make sense to me, not to mention he is brutally honest. The car is running and driving just fine right now, but the tune isn't done. We got the fuel/timing/boost to reasonable levels (AFRs are in the 10s, peak boost is 21 psi, and it's running a safe amount of timing) but Josh fully admits that the boost curve needs work, the fuel trims need to be "prettied-up", etc etc etc, but the car feels good and pulls strong, he said that type of thing could be done in just a couple of hours, but it was after 3am when we got to this point and he had tuned me out of money.
Today I have to pick up some hardware for my front lip and toss it on, along with my KS Tech hood scoop delete. I already stickerslapped the back window with the NW Tuning Technologies decal, hahaha.

Brent thanks for coming down last night. The final flash put your fuel at low 11s AFR. Have a safe trip and I sure enjoy tuning well put together cars like this!!

No, thank YOU, Josh for being available on such short notice. Without your tune, my car would be sitting in the garage, fully assembled, this weekend while I drove the Jeep to Cashmere...

Now I'll be riding in styyyle. ;)

Thanks again, Josh. You will definitely be hearing from me soon to put the finishing touches on this tune. :D

An engine rebuild, apparently.
Cyl 4 has 70psi compression, it's done but hasn't done any damage. Stay tuned for more, not sure when I'm going to be able to address this, but it will be a big step for my car.

Today was 355whp and 370wtq on 3 cylinders.

Dumb question: Why don't you just go back to stock with the motor and leave all this mess behind?

Srsly, Micheal....?
At the very least I'm going to be doing slightly overbore forged JE or CP pistons (still doing my homework on internals), rods, bearings, and all gaskets. I have always had the idea that I would do my heads, port n polish and oversize valves with cams if I ever rebuilt my engine, so I'm trying to get a reasonable figure of how much that is gonna be... I am also looking into cranks, but have a lot of homework left to do. I should also throw a new clutch on it while it's out, etc etc etc.

Why hi there, debt, it's been nice knowing you.

I was all :sadshake: then  :smokin2: then I got to thinkin', now I'm all :smirk:   :flipoff2:, but still  .

Do you have a FMIC now? It seems like one of the red tubes goes that way, but I cant find the return...

Yeah, that big black thing behind the bumper would be my intercooler core. Sneaky, eh?

Hes had one since before this evolution of the motor too. All the pipes are there.

WTF where did my post go?

Anyhow, thats clever. I've never seen a black IC before. So then The red bit with the aluminum end on the left of the pic is the turbo inlet? And then the right bit goes to the IC, then? Which leaves the left red tube to go to the inlet (found that one, haha)
